He knows he has Autism…well,he says,”I’m Autistic…is that good?” Thats a tough one to answer…of course I say that it is good.(I don’t want him to feel bad).But,by the time we are finished talking,he looks at me as if he is thinking,”It doesn’t sound very good.” I usually say,”Well,Blake,you are good and Autism is part of who you are,so its not bad…it’s just different.”

Different??? that’s a bad word in any teens vocabulary. So,I try to explain it again. I don’t know what to tell him.Maybe I need a book to guide me.
